Introduction of dubbing in Europe

because of some decisions made in the 20and 30 each country has its own way of understanding
thedubbing.
With the advent of sound movies, some countries used the dubbing asway to strengthen their identity and
have control of information.

Paramaunt in 1928 performed the first test with The Flyer. The first film was dubbed in meeting between
the sword and the wall.

From 1932 began dubbing widespread in Spain, when introduced in Madrid and Barcelona. Dubbing, during
the dictatorship of Francisco Franco, was boosted following certain laws passed during this stage.

Introduction of dubbing in Latin America

The dubbing in Mexico began when Hollywood producers began to invest money in Mexican productions.
In 1938 Disney Pictures released the first film entirely in Spanish, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
This film was dubbed in Argentina. In Metro Goldwin Mayer 1942 sent from New York the first cast of voice
actors to the capital of Mexico to double its films and cartoon shorts Tom and Jerry for allSouth America.
Most actors came from the radio. Also most of Mexico overdubs were made for all
Spanishspeaking countriesthe world, not separated from Spain and America.

Evolution

At the beginning of dubbing, because the material with whichworked for mixtures was photographic
and no digital as today, the method used wasmake recordings of several pages of text in which they
had to memorize what it said. For it had to rehearse the scenes before they burn, both for good
synchronization with the lip movements of the original actors, and for interpreting them.
Thus, voiceovers like Gone with the Wind, took many weeks of work.

Over the years this technique was changed by the system that actuamente used which is dubbing
rhythms, in which the dialogue is reflected in small pieces that actors recorded reading from a lectern after
having memorized the pace (especially pauses) of the original dialogue. This new technique greatly
facilitates
the process of dubbing although there who believes that this process has taken away artistic quality to it.

After dubbing into Spanish in Spain and Mexico, other countries adopted new techniques.
Chile is used for Turkish soap operas and Venezuela is developed for cable programs.
Similar cases occur in Colombia, Chile Argentina .... In Spain, the autonomous communities of Catalonia,
Basque Country, Galicia, have in turn with overdubs in their respective coofficial languages other than
Spanish.
